Lets go for a walk….

In September I started to reflect on our walks at home and on holiday, revisiting all my photos and all the landscapes and details that stopped me in my tracks and made me capture them on camera.

I revisited these places in memory and in my sketchbook, gradually distilling those details down, working quickly in watercolour and ink. I wanted to keep that energy going as I moved back to painting, making marks in acrylic and embellishing with ink and pen. These four paintings are the results.
